I love doing author visits and talking about books and writing. Recently, I went to visit a classroom of students who had gone to the Moose Jaw Tunnels the day before! They hadhad such a great time and were excited to tell me all about it. They were also reading Tunnels of Time. The teacher had hoped that they would finish the book before they went to Moose Jaw, but they weren’t quite finished the story. That meant I had to be careful what I said! I didn’t want to ruin the ending for them!
The students I visit always have great questions for me and are always so appreciative of my visit. Sometimes I get lovely thank you cards, as I did with this particular class. Connecting with kids and writing and books makes it all worthwhile for me! Thanks for a wonderful visit!
