Mary Harelkin Bishop has lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan since she was 12 years old and considers herself
a Prairie person.  Writing has always been a very important aspect in her life.  Mary began writing when she
was nine years old.  She cannot imagine life without writing.  She is the author of the best-selling Tunnels of
Time Adventure Series, as well as Seeds of Hope: A Prairie Story and Moving Forward: The Journey of
Paralympian Colette Bourgonje, and Gina’s Wheels, to name a few. She has also written two stories she calls
her Reconciliation stories - Mistasinîy: Buffalo Rubbing Stone and Skye Bird and the Eagle Feather, which she
feels are Calls to Action as we journey toward the Reconciliation of all Saskatchewanians and Canadians.
Currently, Mary is working on revising and republishing the Tunnels of Moose Jaw Time Travel Adventure
series as well as working on other writing projects. Mary loves being physically active and enjoys biking,
roller blading, skiing and kayaking.  She also enjoys talking to people of all ages about writing – their writing
